CIO-TUE sought NLRB intervention to hold the election. This is the third attempt by CIO-TUE to oust IUEW, which has represented workers since 1942.
Richard Daniels reported his car was hit by a truck that failed to stop. Police traced the truck to James Triana off North East along the highway. Triana claimed no knowledge of hitting Daniels and said he had full insurance and Daniels should contact him.

Arthur Garfield Hays, prominent New York lawyer, died today at 6:50 am in New York Hospital. He was admitted in November and had won 74 cases. Hospital officials gave no public cause of death or further details.
