A damaged OCR fragment shows terse ads for metal items and hotel banquets with vague phone and address clues. It mentions inquiries at Center Street and a company named Service Ty Fa with a partial phone listing.
Harrisburg AP reports the Department of Public Instruction will seek a 53 million dollar increase in the 1963 64 state education budget, raising total funding to over 560 million. The plan allocates 26 million for public schools, 13 million for state colleges, 6 million for 14 state owned colleges, 5 million for debt service, 1.5 million for libraries, with most of the rise funded by state taxes.
With the January 1 deadline three weeks away only 16 counties have approved school district reorganizations. Nine plans were approved and three rejected at a Wednesday session by the State Board of Education.

Erie police recovered a gas powered chain saw and four heating stoves from the Java Baptist Church in Waterford and related arsons. Clarence Conner and Wayne Sipe were arrested in New York and extradited to Erie County for theft. They pled guilty and were held for a November hearing. the chain saw had been dumped near Corry.
