Two Corry Area High School athletes died when their eastbound Erie-Lackawanna passenger train hit the car they rode in at Mead Avenue crossing. Terry Stroup 17 and Michael Knowlton 16 were killed. Fourteen people died and about forty were injured in three accidents during Argentina's Grand Prix stock car races in Buenos Aires yesterday. Most victims were hit when two cars left the track and plunged into spectator crowds.
A 17 year old Union City woman was fined 25 dollars plus costs after taking 1.49 worth of items from Bargain Joe's on East Main Street.
