Rebuilding Decision Looms for Mt. Jewett Safety Sled Plant

One Joint Raids at Dunkirk Reported
In Dunkirk on a Saturday night a large raid led by Sheriff Brown Undersheriff Gossett Kiel Warren and assistants seized liquor at a soft drink saloon run by Jack Stevens at 98 East Front Street. Recovered were 102 gallons of wine 26 cases of beer 83 gallons of alleged hootch two gallons and one pint of gin six and a half barrels of mash five cartons of liquid malt and hops and five stills of five and ten gallon capacity Stevens was arrested for public nuisance with other offenders expected to follow.
