Centerville Woman Killed in Route 8 Crash Near Titusville
A Centerville area woman, 47, died at Titusville Hospital after her 1970 Pontiac crossed the northbound Route 8 and was hit broadside by a northbound tractor-trailer. James Coatoam of Union City drove the rig. The crash caused $10,000 in truck damage and a fractured skull death for Mrs. Clarence L. Maynard. The truck operator was treated and released.

City police investigated two minor crashes yesterday and last night with total damage of 350 dollars and no injuries. Mary L. McCoy 22 of 245 Mead avenue traveled east on Duane street and stopped for a Mead avenue sign. she collided with a southbound car driven by Guy Davis 39 of 1240 White street causing about 75 dollars damage to the McCoy car. On East Main street Carolyn Cox 29 of Union City backed from a private driveway and was struck by Ed A. Kroto 39 of Erie. Cox car damage about 200 dollars and Kroto car 75 dollars.
