Fire destroys H. J. Wagner barn near Grand Valley
The barn on Bla farm in Crawford county was totally destroyed by fire Saturday. Three pigs, twenty five tons of hay and farm tools were lost. Loss estimated at four thousand dollars. A Baptist Primary Department Christmas program rehearsal will be held after school Tuesday afternoon at the church.

End Suits for Injured Love Heard in Erie Court
Erie County jury awarded Steve Kovaly of Edinboro $2,000 for loss of his wife’s love in a case that marks the last alienation of affections trial allowed in the county. A new state law now bars further trials under this charge. Kovaly claimed Mary, his ex-wife, was driven from him by defendant Steve Smith through rides and mind poisoning. The couple married May 20, 1916 and divorced March 27, 1983. Kovaly sought $10,000 damages.
