Minneapolis story reports editor Riggett slain last night. Police seek two gunmen amid claims of a hidden file of evidence and past crusading campaigns against perceived enemies. Investigators compare the case to a prior crusader murder and note arrests for questioning.
Dr Carmen Ross president of Edinboro State Teachers College told the Corry Teachers Council that teachers must know all phases of school administration. She cited about 12 500 paid to the district from tuition and urged teachers to stay well informed on district issues. C F Hoffmaster elected delegate to Harrisburg meeting. Donald J Watson named alternate.
Major George L. Berry urged conferees to stop quibbling and focus on solving unemployment as the industrial conference faces splits over New Deal policies. Delegates have begun leaving, with some denouncing the gathering as unnecessary amid mounting tensions.

A Belgian Sabena airliner with six passengers and a crew of Belgians crashed near Tatsfield Surrey. The three motor Savoiajet, en route from Brussels Groven airport outside London, killed nine people. Nationalities of passengers unconfirmed.
A Devon port dispatch reports sabotage damage to the battleship Royal Oak and the submarine Oberon and names four suspects linked to a group that threatened to disable ships in New York. Theodore C. Patchen of Erie former dry enforcement officer stands trial in Greensburg on larceny charges for a $35 revolver and 275 in cash alleged stolen from Victor Tognozzi of Monessen on April 24, 1934. Judge C. E. Whitten presides.
Washington December 10 The United States Supreme Court took the Agricultural Adjustment Administration under advisement to consider the constitutionality of the New Deal farm program corner stone.

A survey on combining needs across multiple buildings was ordered, with any work to cost little district money. The board approved a $3,000 transfer to the sinking fund amid ongoing debate.
