Non Suit In Damage Case At Erie Court

Judge Lee A. McCracken presided over a non-suit order in the October term civil court in the $25,000 damage suit brought by Mrs. Mary Klep of 244 Wayne Street against the P and E Coal Dock at Erie. Klep sought $25,000 for the death of her husband Eliie Klep, 44, a welder at American Boiler Works who was killed March 15, 1937 while en route home with groceries. The judge found the evidence showed Klep’s death resulted from his own negligence. Also mentioned is a separate item about a search for the Tasmanian tiger in western and southern Tasmania, noting the animal’s rare, almost extinct status.
