City and vicinity shoppers see sugar ten cents, canned goods at low prices from Wilcox Grocery. Brookville grade school dedication may be delayed due to business boom and electrician shortages. J J Bortell of Altoona reports inability to hire more electricians delaying wiring of 10 classrooms.
Alfred E. Griswold of 210 Maple Avenue died last evening at 11 at the U S Veterans hospital in Coatesville after weeks of illness. He served in Company A during the Spanish American War and was a charter member and former commander of the Lieut. Glyde D. Wilcox Camp United Spanish War Veterans. He held offices in Masonic bodies and Royal Arch Chapter and was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife Eleanor, two brothers, a stepmother, and several half brothers. Funeral services are planned for Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Griswold home.
The Indies Auxiliary of the American Legion meets this evening at six o clock on North Center Street. A Jamaica West Indies missionary Paul D Port will speak at Spencer Community Church at 5 o clock Saturday evening. All invited. Dancing Friday and Saturday nights at Martys Restaurant with music by the Electronics.
