Struck by Chandelier Brings Major Suit In City
The case of E Edgar and Mrs Catherine Betts against Your Men's Christian Association was continued from November to January in common pleas court. Plaintiffs seek 2000 damages for injuries in 1920 when Betts was struck by a chandelier while decorating the JC Jolsby for Christmas services.

Man Fatally Burned After Fall Into Liquor Vat
Eugene Mc Carthy 46 of Smethport was scalded when he fell into a wood liquor vat at the Smethport chemical factory. He stumbled on a platform above the vat and plunged into the boiling liquid, suffering severe burns. He is hospitalized in Bradford in critical condition.
