After a conference with the International Executive Officers of United Mine Workers of America President John Mc Lennin of District No 15 announced at noon today that a resolution would be offered to the special convention of Colorado miners taking action to declare the strike off.

President Opposes Gardner Plan for Inquiry

Funeral for J L Webber Held in Columbus

The funeral for the late J L Webber, who died a week ago in El Pago Voxna, was held yesterday at two pm from Albert Curtis home in Columbus. Members of Corry Lodge Knights of Pythias attended as pallbearers and assisted at the grave in David Curtis Cemetery, with Rev Frank Ripley of Jamestown officiating. Notable attendees from away included Mrs Md Dushatte of OweKa New York, Webber's daughter.

Frank Is Refused By Supreme Ct

United Press reports the U S Supreme Court refused to grant a review of Leo Frank's murder case in Georgia. Frank, convicted of killing a young girl, now awaits a possible sentence. Former Lehigh High School graduates in the city for holidays plan multiple class banquets on December 28. United Press dispatch from Washington reports Secretary of the Treasury McAdoo presenting a Treasury estimate to Congress for the fiscal year starting July 15, 1915. The total budget is 1,090, 75, 84, about four million dollars less than the current year. Rivers and Harbors items were cut by fifty five million, including an 80,000 harbor store item in Pennsylvania.
