New Policy Won’t Affect CATV Here
Corry TV Cable Co will see little impact from a new policy allowing franchised CATV firms to attach distribution facilities to telephone poles. GenTel polices permit excess capacity use for lawful CATV service, and Corry TV has operated under a 1957 agreement revised in 1964. Manager James Jansen noted continued pole rental arrangements remain in place.

NATO Ministers Set to Press Mutual Troop Reductions
NATO foreign ministers in Brussels prepared a joint statement to urge Soviet bloc talks on mutual troop cuts as proof of seriousness about a European security conference. U S Secretary Rogers argued Moscow seeks to preserve its rule in Eastern Europe, while West Germany cautioned on quick talks with Germany still divided. Canada and Norway urged using the offer to lure the Communists to the bargaining table. Rogers and Laird said U S forces in Europe would not shrink before mid-1972.
