Fred W. Lamberton 74 is listed in satisfactory condition at St Vincent's Hospital Erie with two fractured ribs after a Thursday fall while brushing snow from his driveway. His son says release is expected in a few days.
Erie endured a record low of 13 degrees with forecasts of six more. Snow covered five to ten inches across western Pennsylvania causing school closings in Erie suburbs and disrupted travel. Airlines faced delays due to poor visibility as the city airport remained largely blocked by snow.
