Stamp collecting hobbyist faced with postage stamp snafu
Joe Eicher of Denver believes stamp collecting is best as a serious hobby when letters finally arrive. He mailed a Christmas letter to relatives in Brus sels using two old scent stamps and a George Washington Spenter for 13 cents. The parcel returned due postage due with stamps missing, repeating after each attempt. The postman suggested the Post Office would apply a stamp and forward the letter.
