Reunions D O Tripp 43rd annual gathering held at Mead Park
The 43rd annual D O Tripp family reunion met Sunday at Ash Hill Pavilion in Mead Park with 56 relatives and one guest. Attendees arrived from Cleveland Ohio Sherman and Brocton New York North East Columbus Spar Corry. Officers installed were President Frank Willcox vice president Ralph E Tripp secretary treasurer Elsie McDonald and historian Ralph C Tripp. Ada Lovie was oldest attendee Melisa Ann Conner youngest. Nine births two deaths one marriage and one divorce were reported. Guest Jeanie Wyant from Fayetteville North Carolina traveled the farthest. Next reunion set for the third Sunday in August 1978.

Saddle-ites Win In District 9 Horse Show
Members of the Saddle-ites 4H Club competed in the 19th annual District 9 horse show at Venango County Grounds in Franklin. Winners include Foxxi Miller with Misty Jo in junior grooming and showmanship, sixth in western pleasure pony, fourth in western pleasure horse with Brett Jensen, Blair Miller with Sukey Tweed second in pleasure pony driving and riding, plus other riders Stacey Jensen and Laurie Harvey. Blair Miller and Lukey Tweed qualify for state 4H in Harrisburg in November. several locals attend the event.
