Mrs Kemper was shot behind while at her desk and dragged to the bedroom.
A seven year old boy, James Bucky Welch, lost both arms below the elbows when he attempted to coax a puppy from beneath a stopping train. The train lurched forward and severed the limbs about three inches below the elbows. He was reported in satisfactory condition as doctors noted tissue damage too extensive to reattach.
Don Fredericks ong drills four miles north of Grand and strikes oil on all four wells. No. 4 came on oil yesterday after hydrostatic testing by the Dowell Company of Corry. A oil man on the scene called it a dandy and Fredericks, who does his own drilling, is pleased with the first four wells and has staked out a possible fifth.
