Dedication of St Elizabeth's Parish Sunday

The dedication of the St Elizabeth's parish and the new church was held Sunday with Most Rev Edward P McManaman presiding. Bishop McManaman addressed the congregation as the building committee and visiting clergy were thanked for completing the project.

Car Crashes Into Home in Columbus Injuring Seven

A 1941 Mercury driven by John Gales crashed into a Columbus home injuring seven people including children Thorns Savken eight and Marie Savken eight. The vehicle tore through the yard and damaged the porch and interior. occupants were hospitalized with varying injuries. County funds aid Mead Park improvements and budget impact

Draft board session plans for September draft

Corry Unier City draft board No 4 met at Henry Wheeler's home to finalize preparations for the September draft. The session classified a group of registrants and announced two Union City physicians, Dr J Guy Butters and Dr Hugh O Hara, will join the board to review disability claims. other physicians remain in place. Delinquent draftees have been cleared except one case after investigations and reference checks.

Wattsburg Fair Opens Tuesday With Big Attractions

The Wattsburg fair opens Tuesday featuring large farm machinery displays and a strong midway lineup.
