New York August 27 Dick Meril a leading transport pilot and Harry Richman left Floyd Bennett airport at 9 26 am in their Vultee plane on a test flight to Newfoundland planning a round trip and a possible trans Atlantic crossing later. They said the Newfoundland flight was to look over the ground on the first leg of the projected crossing.
