Main Rich Hurt and Wife Killed in Grade Crossing Crash
Mrs Marjorie Rich 23 wife of Marion J Rich and her husband were injured when their car was struck by a New York Central passenger train at a grade crossing near Dunkirk New York. Mrs Rich died at Brooks Memorial Hospital about three hours after the crash and Mr Rich remained seriously injured. The couple had been visiting Dunkirk and were en route to Hiver Creek where they lived. The train did not stop. the engineer appeared unaware of the collision. Mrs Rich formerly Miss Marjorie Myers of Pleasantville died from a fractured skull and internal injuries. Mr Rich suffered multiple fractures and a dislocated shoulder. Funeral services for Mrs Rich are set for Pleasantville Tuesday at 2:20 PM. Mr Rich later published the Silver Creek Times after previously serving as sports editor at the City Herald.

United Press reports a Transcontinental & Western Airways mail plane vanished after takeoff from Amarillo to Albuquerque. Klail Fleet, Kansas City pilot, was aboard. A search was launched from Winslow, Arizona, with another TWA plane aiding. 180 gallons of fuel and 200 pounds of mail on board.

Robbery Ends With Vault Lock In First National Bank
Two youths armed with pistols robbed the First National Bank at Three Springs near Huntingdon Pa taking about five thousand dollars.
