Meadville Aug 27 The annual convention of the League of Third Class Cities concluded at noon with nearly a hundred city officials in attendance. Ira W. Stratton mayor of Scranton was elected President Frank Cummins city solicitor Williamaport Vice President J Haggerty Chester city commissioner and Pred 1 Gatea Wilkes Barre Secretary. Reading won the bid to host next year’s convention in 1915.

Big Pump Goes Into Service Today at Corry Water Plant
The Corry Water Supply Company in North Corry begins using a newly installed giant pump after weeks of installation and testing.
