New York August 25 police rounded up baby dilling gangsters gunmen and racketeers as mass meetings at Madison Square Garden demanded action. Two women Mrs John Lopes and Mrs John Veneghallo mourn the children killed in the recent outbreaks. Police Commissioner Mulroney ordered an extensive drive the largest in the city’s history.
Irma Russell Tuttle, former Gerry resident, died in Corry after an overdose of veronal at the Stewart home on Pleasant Street. She had visited from Salamanca and suffered nervous illness, with funeral services planned for Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Alexander Co. parlors, burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg.
