Trussed By Cord Found Slain Near Butler
A middle aged man, bound with a green cord and shot in the head, was found near Lovers Lane by Portersville. Raymond Hoover, 13, found the body but authorities could not identify him. The victim wore site trousers and white sport shoes, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, brown hair. The cord tied his limbs and a belt around his neck gagged and blindfolded him.

Murder at Emporium Ends in Slaying and Wounding
In Emporium Pennsylvania a family quarrel today left Charles Tilburg dead at 30, his mother Mrs James MacCallum wounded her husband, a former spouse, in a razor attack.
