A well planned gang armed with submachine guns robbed a U S mail truck near Plymouth in a professional job using at least four cars. Authorities estimate loot between 250000 and 2 million dollars potentially surpassing the 1950 Brink's Boston robbery. Investigators say the money was en route from Cape Cod banks to the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston and that a guard described the attackers as wearing disguises including a police uniform.
