Four residents died at Boulevard Manor Nursing Home in Boynton Beach Florida with high fevers lethargy sore throat and coughing. Health officials quarantined the facility and sent samples to laboratories in Jacksonville West Palm Beach and Atlanta as tests for a mysterious illness continue. Officials noted heat exhaustion as a possibility and emphasized the situation remains unsettled with results not yet available.

Driver Flees Police At 100 MPH Crashes Into Tree

Bruce Bunting 94 of Cam bridge Springs led police on a 100 mph chase after an accident scene then skidded on Route 6 near Mill Village into a tree. He fled into woods for 30 minutes and admitted possible drinking. Car driven by 24 year old John Wilson of Erie crashed earlier in LeBoeuf Township. no injuries and $50 damage.

Mail Registration Cards Banned in Pennsylvania Post Offices

Erie County officials spent hours yesterday retrieving mail voter registration cards from post offices as state systems faced halting rules. Hold Sparta Girl In Assault Case

An 18 year old Spartansburg girl Mary Kinney was arrested by state police at Corry barracks on aggravated assault and battery and indecent assault charges. She was brought before a district magistrate in Cambridge Springs and released on $2000 bond. The incident follows a prior tape case involving a 15 year old and a 17 year old youth, with prosecutors seeking to treat the 17 year old as an adult due to prior record. decision pending Monday.
