Conviction of San Quentin Six Costs California Over 2 Million

California spent 16 months and more than 2 million dollars to convict three men already imprisoned in the San Quentin Six case. Johnny L. Blast Kills 11 in Chalmette Oil Refinery Tower

Three Youths Held In Barn Fire burglary charge

Penalty May Go Into Effect On Mead Park Project

City administrator Robert Grice said the deadline passed with no action on penalties for Allen Industries regarding Mead Park work including tennis courts comfort stations and a sewer line. Weather delays and a prior botched traffic signals contract cited. daily fines of 80 dollars apply on eligible working days, but weekends and bad weather exempt. Council vows not to tolerate poor performance and may impose a substantial penalty if issues persist.
