Fact Finding Probe Halts Franklin Area Teacher Strike

An Erie man, J Floyd Smith, 41, received six months to three years in Western Penitentiary for involuntary manslaughter in the deaths of Judith M Young and her 7 year old daughter Christine in a head on crash on Route 8 near Lowville August 1 1970. He was fined 500 dollars and ordered to pay court costs by Erie County Judge Lindley McClelland after a Feb 11 verdict.
