16 Month Search Ends as Man Held in Erie Case
Erie resident Willard H. Sloan, 33, was arrested after a 16 month search and served a warrant for larceny of 500 dollars. Prosecutor Mrs. Grage Applebee, owner of a rooming house, swore out the warrant April 21 1952. Applebee said the theft occurred after she and a female companion and Sloan left a cafe in an eastside area and boarded a cab to State street. Sloan reportedly left the cab and Applebee later found her purse missing the cash.
