Scout Dies After Hit By Lightning At Jamboree
Carl D. Armstrong, 16, an Eagle Scout from Santaquin Utah, died four days after being struck by lightning during the 1977 National Scout Jamboree at Moraine State Park. He had been in critical condition since the accident Saturday as storms lashed the event that drew about 22 000 scouts and ended Tuesday.

Erie Insurance Exchange Hikes Rates in Pa
Harrisburg state Insurance Department announced Erie Insurance Exchange will raise rates an average 12.9 percent effective November 1. The company covers 47,000 Pennsylvania policyholders with increases from 4.4 percent in Philadelphia to 22 percent in Harrisburg, adding about 9.1 million dollars annually. Collision coverage with a $100 deductible rises from 79 to 120 dollars for many Harrisburg area drivers.
