Grave Robbery Probe Deepens in Warren County
Warren County authorities aided by state police from Kane continue the search for a grave robber at Riverside Cemetery in Pittsfield after Mrs Frances Bisalk of Allegheny Springs was found violated in her recently opened grave. A foreigner acquainted with the deceased was questioned but released as no link to the crime emerged. The grisly discovery was made by two Pittsfield women on Thursday near Route 6, with tools from a cemetery shed used to remove earth and part of the casket exposed. Mrs Bisakk, longtime president of Brokdenstraw township, died July 22 and was buried two days later.
