Beaver Falls youths drown after rescue attempt

Fire destroys 32-foot lake cruiser at Stow dock
A $10,000 inboard cabin cruiser was destroyed by fire at the Chautauqua Lake Power Boat Association dock yesterday afternoon. Owner W. C. Fuller of Leon reported the craft tied to the dock with the engine off when flames erupted around 4 40 p m. He suspects a short in the ammeter may have ignited gasoline fumes. No injuries were reported as Ashville firefighters, sheriff boat patrols, and dock crews fought the blaze and recovered the vessel in shallow water. The boat was totaled and insured for just over half its value.
