Della Jo Mack daughter of Dr and Mrs William Mack of Corry is invited to join the Clarion State College Lambda Rho Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi education society. Spring initiation is planned for May 1 at Chandler Dining Hall. Della Jo graduates in May. The event featured yellow and white decor and fell on Hers 49th wedding anniversary. Games earned prizes for Barb Holton and Joan Baldwin. The couple will wed June 4 at St Thomas the Apostle Church.
The National Opera Company presents Rossini’s The Barber of Seville in the Corry Area High School auditorium on Monday May 2 at 8 pm. The event features a lively comic plot with Figaro and Count Almaviva as Rosina is courted, supported by readings and a hospitality committee. The production is funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and organized by the Corry Area Arts Council.
Jeanette Ann Harrington and Galen J. Miller wed recently at Valley View Mennonite Church Spartansboro with Rev Arland Miller officiating. Attendants included Barbara Daniels as matron of honor and Gary Gulley as best man. A 250 guest reception followed in the church social rooms with a four tier cake baked by the bride's mother.
The Erie County Dairy Princess Committee announces the 1977 Erie County Dairy Princess contest. Eligible entrants are Erie County girls who will complete junior year this June or are out of school, single and under 21 by December 31, 1977, and must be daughter of a dairy farmer, manager, herdsman, or owner. Contestants may reside in the United States or Canada and must own more than one dairy animal before May 1, 1977. Entry blanks are available by calling 796-4189 or writing Louise Glover, R.D. 1, Waterford, Pa. Contests close May 31, 1977.
A bridal shower for Judy Chris at Mrs Max Chris’s Corry home honored Miss Judy Chris prize-erect of Jay Grace. Hostesses were Mrs Anne Crosseut and Mrs Helen Chris. Guests included Mrs Biptla Mack, Mrs end Hamil Mss Grace Ann Grace and Mrs Lori Jaggi. Mrs Jaggi won the special award. The group enjoyed refreshments and a wed ding theme cake. Judy and Mr Grace plan to marry May 28 at First United Methodist Church in Corry.
