College Women Hear Of Navajo Indians
The College Women's Club held its final season dinner in the Crown Dining Room at the Corry Motor Inn. Nick Savko spoke on the Navajo Indians and his experiences as a teacher in the Navajo High School in Arizona. He said modern Indians on the reservation live much as their ancestors did, speak the native language, and face adjustment challenges to white society. Some children are bused 40 to 60 miles daily.
