Record stock dividend payments reach high figure
New York April 25 Dividend payments on common stocks rose to near record highs in the first two months of the year with about 12 billion dollars paid by NYSE listed companies. Most firms boosted or maintained payouts as soaring sales lifted earnings, while funds also financed plant expansion for defense or civilian growth.
