Third child struck by auto on North Center Street

A seven year old girl, student at the Junior High elementary division, was struck by a car on North Center Street while crossing from the west side, suffering minor leg injuries. Corey man fails in death by own action

In Erie County Prison Paul Guth 24 formerly of Corey attempted suicide by slashing wrists with a razor and by inhaling gas fumes. He was treated at Hamot Hospital where eight stitches were required. Guth is held awaiting possible indictment by the district attorney and grand jury while facing an alleged immoral offense against an Erie girl.

Fatal Farmhouse Shooting Ends in Double Tragedy

A 50s farmer in Franklin Township, near Kilinning, shot his wife multiple times then killed himself after a family crisis. Coroner Woodward identified the victims as James Crytzer and his wife, both found on their bed in the couple’s farm home. The revolver lay nearby and relatives noted he was in poor health.
