A Blain e Kincaid elected city clerk after City Clerk George M. Ream resigned amid a brief session of the city commission. Mrs. Schaak Dies After Illness in Corry Home

Mrs. Matthew Schaak died today at home on Concord Street after a four week illness. She was among Corry's oldest residents in her eighty something year. Survived by husband and two sons Willem Stemmat in Jumentown and John Stemim in Moxiom.

Troops Enter Vera Cruz Reported by U S Channel

MEXICO CITY TROOPS UP THE UNITED STATES HAVE JUST ENTERED VERA CRUZ message received from U P Correspondent Shepherd in Mexico City. It is coded and early reports suggest Admiral Mether Naw landed marines near Vera Cruz to block a German arms shipment being escorted by Huerta forces. No further details available at 4 10 pm.

British Vessel Refuses Arms Cargo From Tampico

Vera Cruz April 21 British battleship PltPra refused to carry a carload of arms and ammunition to Tampico after Huerta ordered it. The British commander, citing friendly ties with the United States, ordered the vessel to depart without the cargo.

United Press reports a German vessel with 250 Krupp guns and ammunition for Huerta is nearing Vera Cruz. Marines will seize Vera Cruz and halt once the blockade begins to pressure Huerta.
