Riders in Corry’s first Bike-A-Thon tomorrow will be eligible to win a new bicycle donated by the Corry Area Jaycees Rotary Club Kiwanis Club and Bracken Funeral Home. Luncheon meeting of Corry retired teachers group held in Erie
The Corry Area Retired School Employes Association met at Sweden House in Erie for its regular luncheon. Keppel Tiffany introduced speakers Mrs. Joanne Bohn of the Homemaker Service of Erie County and Michael Sallon of the Adult Foster Home Program. They described state funded services and training, with details on how families pay, placement options, and contacts for Erie. The group amended its By-Laws to allow certain non voting social members while keeping voting rights limited. Projections for June events include a dinner at the Corry Motor Inn and an August bake sale. The next meeting is in June.

Post Prom Party Urges Funds For Corry Area High School Event
The general chairs Robert Coleman and Ross Batley appeal for immediate donations to fund the annual post prom party. Checks payable to the Post Prom Party can be deposited at the Corry Marine National Bank. The event follows the junior senior prom May 2 at the high school and will be held at the Elks Lodge with music by The George Fawcett Trio and George Ross as master of ceremonies.
