Kane and Young told Kane Borough Council at a special Kane Pa meeting that they will appeal to the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission to restore gas rates to pre 1933 levels. The companies emphasized they are not required to seek approval yet are acting to keep neighbors informed. Kane noted the prior rate cut in 1933 was voluntary, tied to the Oriskany field discovery in Port Allegany.
