No Trace Found Of Murderer Of Brockway Man
Louie Denario of Brockway, wanted for killing one man and wounding another, eludes police dragnet after Friday shooting. Reports of his arrest in St Marys proved groundless. An inquest ruled Alfred Peduce died from a revolver shot, allegedly by Denario, as Joe Martini was treated for a gunshot wound and later discharged.

College Women's Club Celebrates Tenth Anniversary
The College Women's Club of this city marked its tenth anniversary at Mrs. Douglas Rozelle’s East Main Street home with twenty two members in attendance. A dinner was served with hostesses Mrs. G S Peck Mrs J R Elliott Mrs E R Johnson and Mrs Rozelle. A short business meeting followed the meal and a social hour completed the evening. The next gathering is planned for May 26.

Rehearsal for Messiah Tonight at Methodists Church

Deferred Action on Salary for County Clerk
In common pleas court today Judge Grib and Judge Rossiter deferred action on Sheriff Millard Davis petition to force Erie County Salary Board to set a salary for Lyle Jones chief clerk in the sheriff's office. Attorney Harold Mook for the board offered no reason for the board's refusal to fix Jones's remuneration. Jones has been acting as chief clerk since January 6 and has lived in Erie county for 17 years.
