August Hoeing pastor of St Josephs Catholic church at Shar celebrated the 50th anniversary of his ordination last Sunday and marked the 12th anniversary of his appointment to St Josephs on Tuesday observing the milestone at the Shar church.
Damages of 2600 were awarded to Margaret B. Senita a Patton school teacher in a civil court verdict against Herbert Maney Jr of Oil City. The suit arose from an auto accident in which she claimed injuries. A second suit by Senita against Walter Renninger of Oil City was non suited on counsel’s motion.
After months of continuances the tax claim case against three former Venango county commissioners and two Pittsburgh attorneys moved slowly in Franklin yesterday. The suit seeks to restrain the alleged 40 percent fee contract tied to collecting claims against the George W. Crawford estate and shows little progress on future steps.
