Louis Miller Dies At 68 Labor Leader From Corry

Louis W. Miller 68 of 876 East South Street died at Corry Memorial Hospital. A Corry native, he chaired the City Planning Commission and served on the hospital board. He led local labor, was district rep for the Central Labor Council in Jamestown, and longtime financial secretary of IAM Local 1097. He was active in the Corry Red Cross and local civic life.

Five Fatalities Fire Losses 1970 Stan ford Hose Report

Five men died in the Easter Sunday Sherwin Williams store fire. The 1970 fire losses totaled 331,164 with 128 alarms handled by the Stanford Hose Company, many mutual aid calls from nearby communities.
