Reserves Called Into Federal Service For Naval Guard

German arrests ordered after war resolution signed
Washington April 6. Attorney General Gregory ordered the arrests of sixty alleged German plot conspirators in the United States after President Wilson signed the war resolution. Each man is a German citizen deemed dangerous, with ballots refused and the group to be imprisoned. Some are detained for neutrality violations, others indicted or under long surveillance. For the next century, alien enemies may be arrested without warrants under wartime law.
