Window washer saved after ladder breaks at United Natural Gas building
A window washer on the five story United Natural Gas Co building in Oil City found himself stranded when his ladder failed. Firefighters used an aerial truck to rescue him safely. The day also saw 16 defendants indicted by the Warren County grand jury including a Spring Creek man for DUI. Other local incidents included a teen shoplifting case, a reported grab in a car near Wayne and East Smith streets, and police searches for an unfamiliar man. State police reported March motor vehicle data across several counties. City Council approved Alan Benson for a paid truck driver post and Jack Armitage as new streets foreman, boosting the crew to ten. A $12 gas bill payment was returned for the Easter fire plaque incident, with plans to pay locally next time. Good Friday banking hours were noted for two local banks.
