Settlement planned at Concord School bond hearing

A special meeting of the Board of Education will be held tomorrow afternoon or evening to settle matters regarding the Concord Street School erection. Creditors’ representative, the executor, and Southern Surety Company will attend to discuss distribution of funds held for the Will estate. Attorneys say the situation has lingered for months and a settlement is expected at the meeting with out-of-town creditors interested in the Concord school project.

British Battleship Destroyed Amid Dardanelles Myriad Losses

A London dispatch reports the Urikesh bat Uvatip Lord Nelwon stranded in the Dardanelles after heavy Turkish fire. Two more ships, Tasman and Hermex, were sunk near the Ile of West, with Glasgow steamer Olivene also lost en route to a base in the English Channel.
