The Presbyterian, Catholic, M B Church, and St Elizabeths Cathedral plan Easter programs with choirs, organ solos, and processions. Highlights include cantatas, hymns, and sermons by Rev Woodward and Dr Shaw. Sunday School processions, vespers, and benedictions cap the holiday observances.
The Christian Science Church will hold its regular services tomorrow at eleven o’clock, followed by Sabbath School at 12:15. The lesson subject for the day is "Unreality."
The Weather Bureau reported a rumor that the German cruiser Mitel Broderick may have escaped Newport News despite a night of severe storms and disrupted communications. Officials could not confirm details due to damaged lines and ongoing patrols off the Virginia capes as the sea roiled with northeast gales.
Two raster services at the Unit Hrothon Church will begin inday at eleven o'clock. An offering will be taken for the focal church, following the program. The day features hymns, an anthem, and the sermon titled Muster as a Symbol by Rev. N. J. Muchityra.

A Corry High School senior class group arrived in Washington, D.C. after a crowded train trip, with a long wait at Emporium Junction. They planned a busy itinerary visiting the Washington Monument, Pan American Building, Continental Mall, and Congressional Library, then a city ride and a stay at Hotel Gordon.
Special Services at the Salvation Army rooms list Easter Sunday events with a two o clock service, an evening gathering, and a seven o clock barge followed by Hunter evening service. Monday features a large Rally with a varied program including talons and a mixed-voices quartet. The rooms are decorated for the occasion.
At the Episcopal church Emmanuel the Holy Communion will be taken at seven, followed by the Choral Celebration at eleven oclock with Simper's Mass in G sung. The day’s services conclude with the Evensong at seven thirty.
The Organization Committee appointed by Chairman G. Kincaid met at Major J. B. Trewd’s clock shop to discuss forming a Corry Chamber of Commerce. Most members attended. two were absent. A plan was outlined but time was needed for thorough consideration. Another meeting was scheduled for Tuesday evening at Chairman Brown’s office.
The Baptist Church holds a sunrise service with baptism for several youths and a sermon at 11 AM titled Where Raster Sears Its Full Frits by Pastor Wallace. Evening worship at 7:10 PM presents Revelations on The Judgment of the Great White Throne. Congregational singing from Make Christ King fosters a welcoming atmosphere.
