Tragic drowning of Mont Anderson in Chadakoin River

Little Mont Anderson, six years old, son of Mr and Mrs Albin Anderson of 249 Steele Street, drowned near W Second Street in the Chadakoin River after a rope on a canoe capsized. Francis Crouch and a companion, attempting to rescue, fell in. Crouch survived. The incident occurred around 4 o clock as high water forced nearby residents to watch. Police have yet to locate the body.

Detective Charged With Murder In Altoona Shootout
