Second hand organ and weaving machine offered by Oscar D Castle. Several automobile loads of erb zena boosting for the Correctionville chautauqua scheduled August 19 to 27 at Copeland Park. Author attended a Pierson session and reports ongoing events. Subscriptions to Sioux City papers and magazines can be arranged through Miss Holcomb at the post office.
Chautauqua committee advances plans for August 19 to 25 events and automoble tap to Pierson chautauqua. The Commercial club renews winter entertainment sponsorship, with a talent committee. A railroad crossing safety effort is continued, with inspectors to be invited. A farm land sale near Le Sueur is advertised as a strong investment, priced at 42750.60 with terms. Stray black calves with white neck markings reported.
Stella chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star plans a June 20 celebration in the opera house marking the twenty fifth anniversary of the order. Holstein Anthon Kingsley and Washta chapters will be invited. The program features Hugh W Hages of Burlington as chief speaker, plus other numbers, light refreshments, and a social finale.
A list shows numerous titles and authors placed on Correctionville public library shelves including Over the Pass and The Man in Lonely Land. Ida Grove plans July 4 celebration. a concert incident is noted. Special bargain offer promotes Register and Leader subscriptions through year end 1913.
