Final Flattie Round Robin crowns Weisgerber in tight series
Four Flattie skippers raced in the Annual Round Robin Sunday afternoon with four races. Georgia Weisgerber won the series with two firsts and a second, Betty Jane Clayton placed second, followed by Dr. Enzo Pascarella and Al Gabbs. Barbara won her first Lightning race aboard Spunky Too crewed by Bee Kempff and Mary Jane Healy. Other Lightnings included Tu Tu Gypsy and Stormy. Sunday sail ongoing for nonhandicap crews and the Perkins Memorial handicap second race is planned for next Sunday October 3 offshore.

District President Inspects VFW Auxiliary Initiation Night
Mrs. Nellie Cook first district president inspected the Gen and Foreign Wars gathering last night. Candidates were initiated and a social hour followed. Mrs. Julia Dixon chairs the Oct 16 card party with Mrs. Marie Edwards as reservations chair. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Billings returned from St. Louis where they attended the VFW National convention. Three hundred California auxiliaries attended. changes in by laws were reported and will be issued to units soon.
