Lt Cmdr Osborne gave the bride in marriage and Mrs Osborne was matron of honor. Best man was Lt Col J R Bailey of Coronado. A reception followed at the Officers Mess. Five guests from Gardena and nearby areas attended with Rev David Lee Mounts and the Mounts family.

Midshipman Waller Hosts Classmates During Leave

Edward Walter first classman at the U S Naval Academy spends leave with his aunt Mrs Louis Millen and will return September 16 visiting his grandfather Earl Hall in Chicago. San Diego Woman's Philharmonic Plans Meeting and Events

The San Diego Woman's Philharmonic Committee schedules its annual meeting for September 20 at 2 p.m. in the Wednesday Clubhouse San Diego Ivy Lane. Mrs. James Alexander Irwin chairs the committee and names Mrs. Lauren Willis to head the tea at 4 p.m. after the report and elections. The committee supports Lorita Baker Vallely lectures to fund concerts by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra with events in La Jolla October 9 and San Diego Women's Club lectures from October 11. Concerts are set for November 14 December 18 February 21 and March 24 at the Russ Auditorium with bus transportation for Coronado patrons led by Mrs. Henry G S Wallace and assisted by several aides.

Birth of Daughter to Capt and Mrs Treadwell at Coronado

Capt. James Pruett Treadwell and Mrs Treadwell announce the birth of a daughter at Coronado hospital Monday night. The baby, their second child, joins 3 1/2 year old Neal and big brother Jimmy. Paternal grandparents are Rear Adm. George F. Neal and Mrs Neal of Coronado and Mr. P. H. Treadwell and Mrs Treadwell of Fort Valley Georgia. Capt. Treadwell serves in the USS Columbia, which will soon sail for foreign waters.
