Jewelry worth six thousand recovered in New York visitor incident
A New York visitor dropped jewelry valued at six thousand dollars in the 1500 block of Fourth Street and it lay on the pavement for over 11 hours until Lt. A. H. Bratz and police recovered it. Police chief J. W. Jordan identified the owner as Mrs. M. S. Kemmerer of Larchmont, N Y, who was visiting. The jewels included two diamond and sapphire bracelets.

Coronado Flyer Saved After Ocean Mishap
Lt. (jg) A. E. Nauman, USN, 236 D Avenue, was rescued uninjured off North Island after forcing a landing in his FJ I Fury carrier jet when fuel ran out. He was picked up by the fishing boat Cavalier and is with Fighting Squadron 5 A 1 at Naval Air Station.
