Jane A Wins Advertising Journalism Contest at State College
Jane Ann Ingram daughter of Mrs Joy Ingram and Frank W Ingram of Reno Nevada won a trophy Wednesday in the State College fourth annual journalism competition. She received a gold cap from the San Diego Advertising and Sales Club for writing the best editorial on Advertising's Contribution to the American Way of Life. Her name will be engraved on a perpetual trophy and Coronado school library will receive a book on advertising. Jane joined the school in February and edits a Junior Personalities column for The Compass.

One hundred Coronado youths begin soliciting cancer funds across the community to qualify for a Hollywood trip. Coronado residents prepare for a four candidate race for two seats on the Coronado Unified School Board. Polls will open 7 am to 7 pm at the Elementary School.
